How to Use the Auto-Cancel Feature in JVZoo
JVZoo
Last Update sebulan yang lalu
JVZoo’s Auto-Cancel feature is designed to simplify subscription management within your funnels. It allows you to automatically cancel a customer’s existing subscription when they purchase an upsell or alternate version of a product—ensuring a seamless experience for both you and your buyers.
The Auto-Cancel feature ensures that if a customer upgrades to a different version of a product (e.g., a yearly or enhanced monthly plan), their previous subscription is automatically canceled. This is particularly useful in funnel scenarios involving trial offers or tiered recurring billing.
Common Use Cases:$1 Trial Funnel Example
Let’s say you offer a 14-day $1 trial that rebills at $37/month. As an upsell, you might offer a discounted yearly plan for $300 that includes 2–3 months free. When a customer accepts the yearly plan, you don’t want the $37/month subscription to continue running. That’s where Auto-Cancel comes in—JVZoo will automatically cancel the monthly subscription once the upsell is purchased.Feature Upgrade Funnel Example
You might also have a funnel where customers are paying for a basic recurring product, and you offer an upsell to a $97/month premium version with more features. When they take the upgrade, their basic subscription is automatically canceled.
Setting this up is simple:
Log in to your Seller's Dashboard.
Navigate to the product you want to apply Auto-Cancel to and click Edit.
Go to the Advanced tab.
Scroll to the bottom to find "Add a Cancellation Integration."
You'll see a prompt to select the related product—this is the product that, if purchased after the current one, should trigger the cancellation.
Specify the product to be canceled (i.e., the one currently in the funnel).
Save your changes.
JVZoo will now automatically handle subscription cancellations based on your funnel logic.
