Auto-Toggle Order Bump: Boost Your AOV Effortlessly

JVZoo

Last Update 8 months ago

At JVZoo, we're always exploring ways to increase conversions and average order value (AOV) — and one of our favorite optimizations is using Auto-Toggle Order Bumps.

🧪 What We Discovered

In a recent test, we compared two types of order bumps:

  • Pre-checked order bumps (automatically toggled on)

  • Manually selected order bumps (default unchecked)

Results:
We saw a 15% higher take rate on the pre-checked bumps, with no significant increase in refund rate. That means more customers opted in, and the cart value went up — all with no negative impact on satisfaction.

⚙️ How to Enable Auto-Toggle Order Bumps

If you want to replicate this optimization, here’s how to enable it:

  1. Log in to your JVZoo Seller Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Products tab and click Edit on the product that includes your order bump.

  3. Go to the Order Bumps tab.

  4. Locate the bump you want to optimize and toggle ON the option labeled "Automatically toggle on checkout."

  5. Save your changes.

That’s it! Your order bump will now be pre-selected when a customer lands on the checkout page.

⚠️ Important Limitations

  • Auto-Toggle cannot be used on Order Bumps that are subscriptions. This feature only works with one-time payment products.

  • Auto-Toggle will not apply to customers in the EU and UK, even for single-payment products. This ensures compliance with local consumer protection regulations.

💡 Pro Tip

While our testing showed a 15% increase in take rate, we always recommend that you test on your own offers. Your audience, traffic source, and pricing may yield different results — but this is a high-leverage starting point.

🚀 Why This Matters

Enabling auto-toggle order bumps is a simple change that can lead to a significant increase in revenue, especially when you're investing in paid ads or other media. Every extra dollar helps improve your ROI.
